About APGS

Taiwan is one of the most important business hubs in Asia Pacific Area by not only being the bridge between North-East Asia and South-East Asia for commercial communicating but also being the best channel to enter Asia Pacific market.

According to Newzoo, Taiwan has owned nearly 15 million gamers and has ranked 15th in global gaming markets with more than $1 billion game revenues. To improve industrial communication, since 2014, Taipei Computer Association has held “Asia Pacific Game Summit” (APGS) as a platform which connects Taiwan gaming industry with the global market.

APGS is held in January annually and in the middle of year occasionally. In 2016 and 2017, APGS expanded to Tokyo, Japan and invited game companies whether form Taiwan or form Japan to share the insights of games developing, promotion and localized marketing.

So far, APGS has held over hundreds speeches and panels of which topics include “games development”, “Business and Marketing”, “Indie Games”, “eSports”, “AR and VR”, “Block Chain” and more, delivered by speakers from various realms with their invaluable ideas and thoughts. In addition, the accumulated attendees who are the gaming related professionals form domestic and foreign are more than 6,000 people. This year, APGS sets up “Indie Salon” exclusively, and which invites outstanding indie games developers to share their developing experiences. Indie Salon is aim not only to assist indie games developers to bring their games to the global market but also to provide indie games developers a suitable platform for communication.



Taipei Computer Association

Taipei Computer Association (TCA), the leading representative of Taiwan’s IT industry, was established as a NGO (non-governmental organization) and NPO (non-profit organization) in Taipei City on November 5, 1974.

Over the past three decades, its branch offices have expanded at home and abroad. Internationally, the TCA has overseas representative offices in Tokyo, Japan and Suzhou, China. Its corporate members have grown from 15 to more than 4,000. Our members are found in every sub-categories of Taiwan ICT industry including a lot of influential multinational corporations such as ACER, ASUS, Microsoft, Intel, IBM and HP etc.

TCA is a service-oriented organization. Its goals are to bridge between government and the ICT companies, and to offer local companies with opportunities of global linkage. Each year, TCA organizes first-rate domestic and international exhibitions on IT, telecommunications, software and multimedia in Taiwan. Some of the most famous exhibitions organized by TCA include the Taipei Game Show, COMPUTEX TAIPEI and IT Month, which attract more than 3 million visitors annually.
