【SGS】Neo Geo World Tour S2 Global Finals in Summer Game Show 2019!

2019 Summer Game Show (SGS) announced the lineup for the original game exhibition area on June 20th. This year more than 40 board games are showcased at SGS, and the Indie Space, co-hosted with Taipei Game Development Forum, has also selected many incredible titles. In addition, eSports tournaments organized by Taiwan “Brook Gaming”, Hong Kong “TKO”, and Taipei Computer Association are getting ready to start. Visitors will witness epic games between giants of the gaming world.

Heavyweights to Slug It Out at SGS Tournaments

Brook Gaming and Hong Kong TKO are summoning world-class gamers to participate in four renowned tournaments at SGS. The Brook Fighter EVO Preliminary will feature “Samurai Showdown” to determine the Taiwan representative for the EVO 2019 Global Fighting Game Tournament. The winner of the preliminary will be qualified for EVO 2019, as well as a round-trip ticket and hotel stay sponsored by BROOK.

Official SNK tournament NEO GEO World Tour S2 will also take place at SGS. Answering the call of the Taiwanese KOF World Champion ET, regional champions from 30 countries are heading to Taiwan for a showdown of masters in “The King of Fighters XIV” and “The King of Fighters 98”. Also, the Red Bull Kumite Tournament is coming to Taipei for the first time. The tournament will feature “Street Fighter V Arcade Edition”, and Red Bull will cover all airfare and accommodation fees for the winner to compete overseas. Another tournament, the world-renowned Classic Tetris World Championship (CTWC), is making its debut in Taiwan this year as well. The champion will go to the US to compete in the World Championship in October. Seven-time world champion Jonas Neubauer is also coming to Taiwan to meet and compete with local players.
