EVENT OVERVIEW

Asia Pacific Game Summit (APGS) dedicates to promoting Taiwan’s gaming industry, with the aim of expanding opportunities for international exchange among experts. Organized by Taipei Computer Association, APGS holds its annual conference alongside Taipei Game Show (TGS) each year and sporadically hosts themed salon events throughout the year. Since 2014, APGS has held more than 300 sessions, covering a wide range of topics including “Game Development”, “Indie Games”, “Game Operations and Marketing”, “Generative AI”, “eSport”, and “Monetization”, featuring professional speakers from around the world.’

 

#Renowned Speakers and 10,000+ Attendees Over the Years Gather at APGS

The annual conference gathers well-known game producers and executives from cross-border companies to the stage, with over 2,000 audiences every year, exchanging perspectives and ideas internationally. In addition to the events in Taiwan, APGS expanded to Tokyo in 2016 and 2017 with game companies both from Taiwan and Japan to share insights into game development, marketing, and localization. In 2018 and 2019, APGS hosted the “eSports Panel” that overviewed the changes in the gaming industry from the industrial, governmental, and academic perspectives, and analyzed the role game developers and publishers, hardware brands, and eSports organizations play in the field of eSports. Additionally, APGS has dedicated a series of events to indie game developers, providing a platform for networking and knowledge exchange. In 2019, INDIE SALON debuted alongside the annual conference, focusing on themes related to indie game development and global market expansion. In 2022, INDIE SALON FALL invited award-winning teams to share their most valuable insights on game development and marketing. In 2024, with the expansion to include IP and board game creators, GAME LINKER 2024 FALL explored new opportunities for indie game developers to collaborate across various creative fields.

 

#Unveiling Future Trends, Exploring Cutting-Edge Technology

APGS has collaborated with the Asia Silicon Valley Development Agency on multiple occasions to host dedicated sessions centered on cutting-edge technologies, driving the future of the ICT industry. From 2022 to 2024, "Metaverse Forum" brings together industry experts to delve into emerging technology trends like the Metaverse. Beyond examining the Metaverse landscape from multiple angles including industry, government, academia, and research, it also addresses topics like Web 3.0 and Generative AI. Participants exchange insights on current industry trends and collectively explore future directions for the Metaverse. In 2025, with the rapid advancements in AI technology, we introduced “AI Forum,” covering all aspects of AI, including Generative AI, Edge Computing, and AIoT. This event featured industry professionals sharing groundbreaking innovations in their fields and engaging in the panel discussion. Looking ahead, APGS aims to maintain its focus on the latest trends and technologies in the gaming and entertainment sectors. We plan to organize more engaging sessions in the future, offering audiences a deeper dive into the ever-evolving landscape of knowledge.

 

ORGANIZER INTRODUCTION

Taipei Computer Association (TCA), established in 1974, is the leading industrial organization in Taiwan. Its 4,000 members engage various segments of the information communication technology (ICT) industry such as software, hardware, semiconductors and components, manufacture, sales, network communication service, etc..
TCA facilitates the growth of the ICT industry by continuously seeking new opportunities and acting as a bridge to the government, academic, and general public, as well as a window for international professional bodies. Services provided by the Association will include activities such as international/domestic trade events, skills training, information, business networking, and more. Trade events such as the Taipei Game Show, Asia Pacific Game Summit, Smart City Summit & Expo, COMPUTEX, InnoVEX, IT Month and Edtech Taiwan are some of the major themed platforms that provide international business opportunities.
