Runai Announces Participation in Taipei Game Show 2026 – Latest Version Playable On-Site
Taiwanese indie game developer Douli Games has officially announced its participation in Taipei Game Show 2026, taking place from January 29 to February 1, 2026, at Hall 1 of the Nangang Exhibition Center.
At the event, Douli Games will showcase its in-development pixel-art sandbox game Runai, with the latest playable version available on-site. Visitors will be able to experience core gameplay features such as village building, interaction with animal villagers, and dungeon exploration.
Product Introduction
Runai is a 2D pixel-art sandbox game that blends cozy village simulation with light roguelite adventure elements.
Players take on the role of a human who crash-lands on an unfamiliar planet and begins a new life alongside animal villagers. By gathering resources, crafting, building structures, and researching technology, players gradually develop their village while exploring procedurally generated dungeons. The ultimate goal is to build a rocket and find a way back home.
The game is designed around a low-pressure, high-reward gameplay loop. Villagers act autonomously based on their moods and needs, allowing players to focus on planning and decision-making while enjoying a relaxed yet strategic experience.
On-Site Exhibition Preview
Douli Games has also revealed a preview of the on-site exhibition content. At the booth, players can try the latest demo of Runai, featuring:
- Building – Early-stage village construction and management
- Adventure – Dungeon exploration and field events
- Progression – Recruiting animal companions, researching new technologies, and upgrading the village
Members of the development team will be present at the booth to interact with players, gather feedback, and share insights into the game’s current development status and future plans.
