Zeitgeist Studio officially announces its participation in Taipei Game Show 2026 (January 29 - February 1, 2026), held at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. Take a chilling glimpse at hand-drawn mystery horror game NAME OF THE WILL at Booth S13 in the B2C ZONE!
In addition to a show-exclusive playable demo, gamers can enjoy limited on-site giveaways, inviting fans of psychological horror to experience a day as a cult follower.
In NAME OF THE WILL, you live your daily life as 3279, a member of HOPE: a cult that sees hope in pain. Under the watchful gaze of The Benevolent Father, you must conduct morally-challenging rituals, befriend your neighbors, and follow a strict set of rules whilst trying to unravel the mystery at the heart of a nefarious cult.
But watch your step. A conduct system will punish you if you step out of line or disrupt the harmony of HOPE. You only have 7 strikes with 3 unique endings and a hidden bonus ending to undercover depending on how the system tallies up your actions.
Horror doesn't lurk in the dark but in rituals and smiling masked neighbors.
At the event, a “Masked Cult Member” will offer New Year blessings to players. By adding the game to their Steam wishlist and leaving a New Year message on the official Discord, visitors can receive a limited-edition lucky poster and exclusive stickers, while supplies last.
The demo of NAME OF THE WILL is currently available on Steam. Within just two months of its public release, the game surpassed 13,500 wishlists and has been praised by multiple streamers, including BigGaming64, as “one of the most anticipated horror games.” GameRadar+ also praised the title, calling it “the kind of head-scratching indie horror that doesn’t come around too often.”
Originally funded on Kickstarter in 2021 at 170% of its goal and selected as a “Projects We Love” title, the game released its first demo in 2022. After a temporary development pause, production officially resumed in 2024. Since then, the game has received coverage from international media such as IGN, Canard PC, 4Gamer and UDN Games, and has been showcased at global events including SXSW, AnimeNYC, and Freeplay.
